Campsite activities during the winter
 Campsite activities
For those long winter evenings, a games room is available for holiday makers. You can play table tennis or compete at pool or table football.
Whatever you do, don’t miss your favourite soap opera! A TV room is available on site. As well as the TV, there is also a reading / library corner and board games for all the family. The campsite also has WiFi and a computer terminal is available at reception.
HANDY! Upon your arrival, you will be given a guest card, allowing you free use of the passing buses. Buses pass L’Escale campsite approximately every 20 minutes en route to the cable cars (500 m), and from there on the skiing areas are all yours to discover.

Winter sports just a stone’s throw away
The excellently maintained ski area, with generous and quality snow fall, combined with a network of artificial snow (70 hectares), allows you to enjoy the pleasures of skiing at any time.
For adult and child skiing lessons, contact the local ski schools.
At L’Escale, make the most of our free shuttle bus which will take you to the cable cars 500 m away, meaning accessing the skiing areas couldn’t be easier: 90 km of ski trails on 3960 hectares of land, with 1 snowpark and 5 beginner areas (42 trails - 3 black, 14 red, 15 blue and 10 green). 146 snow canons mean that 70 hectares and 22 km of trails benefit from snow cover all season. In fact, four days of -4°C will mean 30 cm of snow across 25% of the area. Access is also possible to La Clusaz ski station (free bus).
Just 100 m from L’Escale are the departure points for the Nordic skiing trails. That’s 43 km of marked and well-maintained trails. The biathlon stadiums (cross-country skiing and shooting) are based in the Bouchet valley, and the Sylvie Becaert stadium in the heart of the village.
Non-skiers can enjoy the covered ice rink (800 m²), just 50 m from the campsite. Spend a relaxing moment in a beautiful setting, opposite the village and the Aravis mountain range.
Many other activities are available during your holidays: paragliding, snowshoeing, cinema, horse-drawn carriage rides, farm visits, sledging, pottery, mosaic art, wood painting...
You can also enjoy a walk and discover local products on sale at the traditional market which takes places every Wednesday morning in the village.
